Always trying to keep things fresh—particularly during the summer months—in-house bartender/mixologist Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez has created three new signature cocktails, available at Taste Restaurant and at the Pool Club.

“We were recently invited to participate in a grilling restaurant showcase at the Isla Rio Cuale,” explains Chuy. “For that particular event, I challenged myself to come up with three emblematic cocktails that would somehow embody the casual sophistication Casa Cupula offers to our guests. The event attracted hundreds of people, many of whom were pleasantly surprised with the cocktails they tried!”

We truly hope you will enjoy these new signature cocktails at Casa Cupula during your next visit! Here are their names and descriptions:

521
Named after our Penthouse Suite, 521 is created by fusing a strawberry shrub with black pepper, Campari and Absolut Mandarin. The outcome: a surprisingly refreshing aperitif, with a slightly bitter taste and sweet notes.

Pnuts on Fire
Peanut butter, tequila and cinnamon liqueur come together to create the ideal cocktail to enjoy with desserts, such as chocolate cake, flan, strawberry cheesecake, or by itself as a digestif.

Oaxaca
When we learn that mezcal is used in a cocktail, it’s easy to imagine that its flavor will be strong. This, however, is not the case when you mix it with rose essence, a blackberry shrub, cinnamon and a touch of fresh cucumber and orange. The outcome is a seductive, aromatic beverage that will undoubtedly seduce you. The name and inspiration come from our very own Oaxaca suite!
